Opens with citrus notes with the grapefruit leaning towards screechy territory. Luckily the citrus notes quickly calm down and is joined by water and ambroxan. As this warms up on skin, I can smell the pepper distinctively, while the pepper mingles with cucumber-like accords. The cucumber note that I pick up is quite pulpy instead of watery. I appreciate this stage of the fragrance the most. On the dry down, this fragrance falls a bit flat for me, it’s a smoky musk with a tiny bit of vanillic sweetness.
